Reefs Begonia is the name of the brand new series, of seed-derived F1 hybrid varieties of Begonia.
The Begonias were developed by our breeding company, Tesselaar Begonia bv. We breed for seed-raised F1 Hybrid begonias. Our protected brand name, Reefs Begonia®, refers to the rich and bright colors of our varieties.
Reefs Begonia® boliviensisx hybr is available in a range of 15 varieties, divided into three types, each with its own unique identity. These profusely flowering varieties will create a reef full of colorful blooms in your garden and on your patio.
Reefs Begonia® plants are semi-trailing and have good growth vigor. Their well-branched habit creates a beautiful, rounded appearance. They are suitable for pots and hanging baskets, either individually or as part of combination pots.
Reefs Begonia® Landscape varieties are generously flowering, have bronze leaves, are sturdy, and bloom at the top. This makes them suitable for larger containers and flowerbeds.
Reefs Begonia® Trevi is a vigorous plant with a profusion of flowers reminiscent of the many drops of a fountain. Its narrow leaves make this variety slightly more drought-tolerant than other types.
The abundant flowers of our Begonias are very attractive to insects such as bees, bumblebees, butterflies, hoverflies, and ladybug larvae, thus enriching the biodiversity in your garden.
