Reefs Begonia® is the name of the brand new seed-derived F1 hybrid varieties of Begonia.
The Begonias were developed by our breeding company; Tesselaar Begonia bv. We breed F1 hybrid seed Begonias. Our protected brand name, Reefs begonia® refers to the rich and bright colors of our varieties.
Reefs Begonia® boliviensisx hybr is available in a range of 15 varieties divided into 3 types, each with its own special identity. They are richly flowering varieties, providing a reef of colorful flowers in your garden and on your patio.
Reefs Begonia® plants are semi trailing and have good vigor. The well-branched plant structure makes for a nice round whole. They are suitable for pots and hanging baskets, single or as part of combination pots.
Reefs Begonia® Up varieties are profusely flowering, have bronze-colored leaves, are sturdy, and bloom at the top. This makes them suitable not only for pots and hanging baskets but also for landscaping in larger containers and flower beds.
Reefs Begonia® Trevi is a vigorous grower with an abundance of flowers reminiscent of the many droplets of a fountain. With its narrow leaves, the variety is just slightly more drought tolerant than other types.
The many flowers on our begonias are very attractive to insects such as bees, bumblebees, butterflies, hoverflies, and ladybug larvae. And thus enrich the biodiversity in your garden.
